My focus

To Mary Cosimano (Johns Hopkins) Psilocybin Studies

I live in DC and would love to meet you. I could come to Baltimore and I take you to lunch if that would work for you. I am interested in delving into the deeper levels of the mind through meditation, dreams and hallucinegic medicines. In doing so, I hope to gain more self-knowledge, live authentically and be of service to people who are suffering — the impoverished, the terminally ill, the traumatized, the addicted, the unloved. It has been difficult to determine what are the best access points into this new direction, and I am considering, at 58, getting a Masters in Counseling. However, I’m still uncertain as to whether this is the best path. I have been a sucessful entrepreneur my entire adult life who, through two different and distinct companies, has been able to figure out to get people the knowledge they need to succeed. Are my entrepreneurial skills adaptable to the field of mind/self exploration or would it make sense to go the acadamic route? If academic, is counseling the best choice? These are my questions. A conversation with you would be very interesting and very likely contribute to me figuring this out. Although 58, I feel like I still have many years ahead of me to make a professional contribution and after being in fields that are more intellectual, very much want to work directly with people in need.
